Stuck at "Setting up wpasupplicant"

This happened while writing to disk as well as writing to file. When it gets stuck sudo commands on my normal x86 ubuntu system hang and also the wireless once disconnected cannot connect back giving error "Authorisation failed"

I believe I would have to skip installing any wireless related packages. Any advice ?
Hey MetalGearSolid, for starters you helped me in irc yesterday and i wanted to say thank you. I was logged in as dataghost and couldnt get wireless working in NITDroid and you were right about the maemo firmware. I copied it to the appropriate NITDroid location and wireless worked great now i just wanna figure out gprs data. As far as Ubuntu i had the same issue. What i did was just created a live ubuntu 12.10 flash drive with persistant changes and updated the latest qemu static user deb from online and retried and it worked for me on Lubuntu.
