Thanks for this detailed post. I've run into a problem after dedicating the day to this however. the .img is chrooted and mounted from ext3 partition on sd card, succes! Next challenge: What is the most do-able way to install vnc-server on the chrootable .img now that repos have changed? vim the sources list did not work, what do you suggest?
