ncurses packages are in Nokia SSU, so yes, update needs to go via CSSU.

But general rule is to use what is in original Nokia SSU/Maemo SDK package on repository.maemo.org.

debhelper 5. Maemo SDK does not have support for new debhelper version. CSSU packages should be able to build with just Maemo Fremantle SDK + CSSU packages (but not recursive). Without Maemo Extras!

The easier and best solution is to look at version strings in other CSSU packages. There is some guide on https://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU...Version_Scheme

I imported current DSC package from Maemo SDK into github CSSU, so you can use prepared git repo:
