They could but have no idea about [to choose and build up a brand name, design devices, engineer technology/patents, ...??? ]. But money can buy 'everything'. And we are gonna loose, because of profit ...

Gigaset is/was owned by Siemens and was their brand for tele-communication (devices definitely, or also network technology, not sure about). And was a good brand.
