Yeah, you've beaten me to it. I was about to comment something like, "sometimes a landscape can be a portrait"

OTOH, this picture is definitely not a landscape. It may be in a landscape orientation but it is what artists would probably call a still life.

It may be a bit confusing but the term "portrait" and "landscape" when referring to the picture orientation come originally from the most common orientation of pictures containing that kind of genre. Thus, portraits are usually painter vertical and landscapes horizontal, but it does not have to be the case always.
