yes, i do... on my local network (my router exposes only a small subset of configurations in the web interface, so i need telnet to brick it).


one of the mail accounts i have runs on a system that can be entered and configured via telnet. you can make it send a fax or re-route mails or send auto-replies this way. it's a 1990s proprietary platform though that only runs because nobody ever cared to pull the plug, and i don't actively use it any more for messaging purposes... only to play dirty tricks via telnet.
