For all the reasons that Estel and w00t mentioned plus one: have you noticed how little swearing (including asterisks) is actually present in TMO posts? Do you really think this is because people posted rude things, saw them mangled by the filter and deleted them? Sorry but that sounds like giving them too much credit. The Occam razor tells us that it is more likely to assume people do not post rude things to start with.
