Can we *all* stop mystifying the terminal as it was some sort of voodoo magic tool?

It's just another tool for running applications.

Besides, installing and uninstalling applications from the "terminal", in particular using apt-get or dpkg, actually allows you to *see* what's going on and where things fail when they do.

The built-in graphical application manager (HAM) is actually seriously noob-unfriendly as it will take decisions about what to delete in order to "fix" a "problem" without informing the user.

Some tools make more sense when they're graphical, others do not.
