I think it's a good idea to keep track of the Maemo - MeeGo - Sailfish timeline. After all they all hail from the same stable.
Depending how Sailfish develops over the coming years could mean you're supporting hundreds of devices eventually, so I think some obsolescence will need to come into it at sometime.
