Think of it this way if you're a US citizen who has $5 dollars then that's $3 of your 5, so if you're a UK citizen with £5 then that's £3 of your 5. Not really any difference is there, may advice to you would be to jump on a plane fly to US buy over there with your exchanged currency. At the end of the day it's only £3 I'm sure you can afford it.
