It is possible. After downloading a dump you need to place a file named .evopediarc in /home/user with content like this:

[General]
darkTheme=true
useExternalBrowser=true

[dump_de_2012-02-25]
data_directory=/home/user/MyDocs/evodic/wikipedia_de_2012-02-25
