Just a quick heads-up: I installed the latest version from Extras-Devel (having both the CSSU Thumb and latest Kernel Power installed), disabled menu edits, hit Update and everything was fine (however, I didn't try to edit the menu, so I have no idea if the option was working). Then I changed the desktop to vertical, hit Update, but the desktop was still horizontal. I tried reboot, but on the next boot, Hildon Desktop crashed. I had to fix this situation through x-term. I'm not sure which option caused the crash and I know this is to be expected in Extras-Devel, just be careful.
