Thanks to both for such quick replies - very much appreciated. I should have mentioned in my first post that I have tried both portals and currently use w.qq.com but with a lot of trouble. I'm located in the mountains in Yunnan Province and only have a 2G signal when away from home or office. Loading a full web page (mobile optimised or not) can take an age. I am still keen to see if the QQ Java client could be got to run on the N900 via Java emulation and any help with this is also much appreciated. Many thanks again.
