It is my understanding that persons who are not EU citizens are not eligible to hold leadership positions within a German e.V. If that is indeed true then that is a concern for me, since there are many community contributors who live outside the EU. There needs to be some mechanism in place to ensure that non-EU members of the community who are motivated to take on public community leadership roles have the opportunity to do so in a meaningful way.
