Of course, it would be good for a date to show up on any downloads page, and as a separate field in Settings->About, but I still think the version number itself should be just a simple couple of digits. Think how much easier the forum would be if everyone could easily refer to their version number in a completely understandable way.

Does anyone know how Moblin does their version numbers?
