I was infact using rootsh but now im questioning if it works right. When trying your second suggestion i was denied permission. i opened xterm and typed in sudo gainroot. it replyed root shell enabled. i wanted to try your suggestion with a.out so i entered /home/user/MyDocs, and i got the output /home/user.MyDocs: permission denied. What is going on? Why am i being denied access when i have root access?
