I've been using FreOffice from extras-devel for the last 2 days since 1.2 release and it has been working great so far. Note, they are viewers only. Word docs are not rendered perfectly, but good enough to read the contents. Also, the excel viewer has some sort of bugs which does not allow navigating cells.

Overall the experience is pretty satisfactory.
