For me, Open Office is just too slow. Once you have either your new or old document loaded it works fine, but the wait for open office to start followed by the lag in creating a new document / opening a saved document just makes it impractical.

I know its not a massive amount of time, but surely there could be something which loads in double (if not the same) time it takes to load on a PC?
