everything is there to make your device slick.
running "just" stock from 2008 will not get you the full potential out of the device..from software patches updates and fixes right on down to.increased battery time..
As far as what you'd like on it....yup ..not a prob.
follow the suggested advice in the links..
it isn't hard, or difficult to understand..or long to do..
but it will get the most out of your device..
get you more programs than you can shake a stick at..
and safeguard and backup your device as well.
