I'm not sure which is the appropriate thread for this, but I'm hoping to discuss some issues with nokia n9 fans.

Background: I bought an "unlocked" phone from a US retailer, but it is a Vietnam phone, and seems to have some custom software installed. It is 64GB version running PR1.2.

I, like many haven't seen the update to PR1.3, and plan to update shortly.

My problem: I want to get the Transit app, the one with the bus schedules. When I currently try to install it, I get an error about my region not supported. I assumed it was because I live in the US and the n9 hasn't been released here.

But I only new to look for the bus app because someone in the US
was raving about it in a blog. Yet if I search the ovi store from my phone or website, I don't see it. I have managed to find links to it directly, but then see a message about being in the wrong region.

Am I not allowed to see the Nokia apps because of the phone coming from Vietnam? Or is it as I suspect, Windows is trying to keep competition to a minimum?

If I upgrade to the PR1.3 generic image, would I have better access to apps?
