The foobar.zip you have downloaded has no sample apk file in it. May be that is why. I do not know any other reason if you followed all steps correct. Try the below new attachment. (The attachment in the tutorial post is also updated with this). Either use it to pack a sample deb or replace the apk with your apk. Rename your apk as foobar.apk if you don't want to edit other files for a sample deb packaging.

EDIT: I tried without an apk, Problem seems to be something else. Please try renaming the DEBIAN folder to debian if you are using N900.
