I have Nexus 7 tablet and have been trying to connect it to a mobile internet using my N900 as a WiFi hotspot.

I tried everything I could think of; Qt Mobile Hotspot app, setting it up from a command line (iptables /ifconfig/iwconfig), clear connection, WEP encrypted... nothing really helps.

My Dell laptop (with Ubuntu) can connect to this AP, so it seems to be setup properly, but the Android 4.2 on the tablet does not even show the ESSID so I cannot connect to it.

If anyone could give me some hints what else to try in order to make it work, I would really appreciate it.
