Well, I didn't try that yet. When I first installed the widget, I couldn't find it anywhere. So I uninstalled it, but then suddenly I noticed an entry in the add widget menu on the desktop. This didn't make sense to me. I re-enabled the extras-devel, reinstalled the widget, then sure enough it appeared on the desktop. I have it installed right now. I normally have extras-devel disabled, but if I really want something, I enable it temporarily just to do the installation.
