Sorry, I am not a good person to ask, as I have different tastes from most forum members. I don't watch YouTube or other video entertainment and I don't play computer games.

Flash is used for a lot of purposes other than moving pictures. Many interactive sites make use of Flash in a non-movie context. For example, the telephony service at http://www.jajah.com/ builds its dialling widget on Flash 9. (The same widget can be used for SMS.)

Travel information and ticketing sites often use Flash. My wife and I sometimes go on vacation in the Italian Alps, and we use sites such as http://www.vcoinbus.it/ and http://www.regione.piemonte.it/cgi-b...hi/ricerca.cgi to find information about timetables and hotels. They don't work unless you have Flash 9. There are similar sites for travel in other parts of the world. Some airline sites also use Flash. It's not just movies.

Have you installed Fanoush's 48 MHz kernel modification? It makes the 770 much faster. I don't know whether that would help in displaying your video movies, but it's worth a try. It's a good way to improve the 770's performance, regardless of the Flash plugin.

The plugin can make your browser unstable if you don't have a large space allocated to swap.
