Because TMO doesn't allow to collect money for crowdfunding in a secure manner. The original OH keyboard was mainly driven by dirkvl, who did all the physical work, collected money and whatnot. The software side was done by somebody else, granted. This approach lacks one key component. I may be wrong though, so go ahead if you think this is feasible...
