thanks for the feedback.
it seems that configuration fails already with tex-common on your device.
I might already have hacked my device too much
so it's useful to see other people's output.

could you please set the first two lines of
/var/lib/dpkg/info/tex-common.postinst
to

set -x

and send me the output of
dpkg --configure tex-common
