the mic and ground on the n900 port are REVERSED ...
meaning...
you get wicked noise coming through using anything other than an officially made-for-device-product from nokia...
unless some jury rigging hackery is somehow done by a unicorn ...no wait....

wearing custom-made spats...
from what I fathom...
utilizing mic input via headphone port...aint gonna happen.
which makes me wonder...
why bother to make a headphone port that can accept a mic...
and not bother to make any mics...
not even headphones with mics...
not even any adapter TO utilize the mic..
absolutely astounding....
