One other thing you might want to try BTW.
Instead of the rescue kernel&initramfs, you can downlload the latest ubiboot kernel which contains the integrated maintanance mode.
Get it from here:
http://www.swagman.org/juice/ubiboot...3.5_301013.tar
Unpack the tarfile, and you will get the ubiboot kernel (zImage_2.6.32.54-ubiboot-02_301013)
Boot your N9 with the kernel; "sudo flasher -k zImage_2.6.32.54-ubiboot-02_301013 -l -b"
Now, see if this gives you a better filesystem export.
