First off I have to say that I don't have my N800 yet, but hopefully on Wednesday.

Ok on to my questions: I see a few applications I am looking at don't have installers but are .deb files. How do I install these?

Second question where do I find GPE Suite for the N800? I have seen several posts of people talking about it but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks!

I think I answered one of my own questions... I guess GPE PIM is the suite of apps. right?

.deb files for the N800 can be installed just by running them, or by choosing Install from File in the menu in the Application Manager (they do the same thing).

For GPE - you can follow the instructions I have here. Ignore the later parts if you don't use Linux+Evolution and/or don't want to synchronize. Sync Evolution and GPE on N800

Small clarification: .deb files can't be installed by running (executing) them. But clicking them in the browser can install (as well as save) them, because the browser has a mime type that tells it what to do.
