If you have a marketing/promotions dept at your office, see if their proxy settings are the same as yours. Quite often the marketing dept in an organization has a more relaxed proxy access to allow streaming video, surfing for sales opportunities, pimping the company on various forums, etc....

Ok, Blackberry devices....

My wife would like to get a Blackberry smartphone, is there anything out there that will turn it into a walking HOTSPOT?

Thanks.

All.
I got my phone...Finally...

it's a HTC Touch Pro on Sprint with everything data and voice.

I'll start trying out the various softwares as wireless routers.
I will then cancel my data plan next month and c which ones work.
currently am using internet sharing for WM 6.1...which is GREAT.

am guessing know which one of these softwares work without a data plan???
