Does anyone know how the N900's stylus compares to the N810's one? Are they the same, i.e. will they both fit snuggly into each other's stylus slots?

If the N900 is as popular as I think it will be, then maybe there will finally be an easy source of spare styluses, and maybe third-party (metal?) styluses too, like from http://www.pdapanache.com/.

If you're looking for a more usable stylus, I own and recommend the Lamy 4 Pen. It's a full sized pen for your pocket with a ballpen, pencil, marker, and stylus (at least in one configuration, there's also a three color ballpen and pencil option).

As far as a third party stylus that fits in the N900 slot (other than a solid plastic replacement), I wouldn't hold my breath. The market is just not that large. You will note that the two PDA styli offered on PDA Panache's home page are not for the current iPaq or most recent Palm models. For a run of a custom design, you need the volume of a Nintendo which PDA Panache makes a number of models for.

I sorta doubt it as that would be TOO convenient. However the stylus pictured in the N900 manual looks an awful like the N810 stylus, so here's hoping that's the case. Styluses all around q=

Almost the same, but not quite.

I have the Lamy 3-pen. It wasn't that much bigger than your average ballpoint, but they managed to fit a pen, a mechanical pencil (with little eraser) and stylus. And, the quality is superb.

Well, if the N810 stylus fits in the N900, I would be in luck as I have 4 N810 styluses .

I had a third-party solid metal stylus (not by PDA Panache, but very similar) for my Tapwave Zodiac, a device which sold in very small numbers, so there's hope. The extra weight made it much nicer to use than the plastic one, and I've missed not having one like that on my N810. It would be nice to have one like that for the N900.

Thought I'd bump this thread instead of making a new one. Any decent 3rd party styluses out there? I was hoping for a retractable metal one with rubber tip as my current one is a. Too small and b. Keeps scratching screen (or threatening to).
