iptraf can be used to monitor network traffick, it will also show counters for the data transferred while in a specific view.

@jbw89 - I don't think there is a script for it and I can't find it if there is. Can you point it out to me please?
@rambo - Sorry, i forgot to put that I already know about that. Really, I need something to record the data rather than data currently being transfered. Exactly like gprs dataplan monitor, but for wlan.
