came across this on youtube and was thinking how cool it would be to have this kind of feature on the N900
the use of the touch would make it even more fun to use.

what do you guys think?

It's pretty cool. You can download the free version until tomorrow from their site.

I agree this looks really cool. However, the practical side of me would much rather ditch the bling for snappy performance.

Wait -- they got bought by Google? Google bought a company that creates bling-y desktop software for Macs and Windows? Why is that, do you suppose? I can't imagine they're trying to put this on Android. I didn't think that Chrome OS (if that ever sees the light of day now that Android is our & the iPad is hot) would even have a desktop, but maybe I was wrong. If so, they could be going for a consistent Googly experience whether you're on Chrome OS or Windows or whatever. They could put their Google Gadgets on it.

It would be great for touch based uses but a mouse based GUI still rules the desktop. I tried Bumptop on my PC, it's flashy but not very productive. Mind you I didn't really give it a fair go, I only tried it for one day.

Elements of this will probably snake their way into android and chrome OS. I'm sure the thousands of Google engineers will find a way to make it work effectively in both environments.
