Finally got SDK 5 installed on my laptop running Ubuntu 10.04....tried to test it out per the wiki instructions. Xephyr opens up a black window. But when I tried starting the UI Framework as instructed, I get lots of errors as follows:

try this:

af-sb-init.sh restart

For some reason it works sometimes.

Try Maemo5 SDK shortcut in desktop.

I haven't had great success with the SDK shortcut. But I think it has the two extra parameters that are no good in Ubuntu 10.04 when starting Xephyr. I will try removing them.

I just got started with scratchbox. I developed a PyQt app with no problems without scratchbox, but I want to package it and I am playing with scratchbox for that purpose.

My app runs fine on the phone, but dies on scratchbox when it tries to access Hal via DBus. Apparently this is expected, from what little I can glean.

Tried it but got message:

'Command not Found'


Any other suggestions?
