Hi,

I'm not exactly sure if this post belongs in this forum section, but I have the following question.

I have to hand in my N900 to repair the 3.5mm jackplug. I'd love to backup the whole thing, flash it to remove ALL personal data, then restore my personal installation when I get it back. For instance, to normally backup and restore my desktop PC's installs, I use systemrescuecd/partimage.

Now, is it possible to make/restore a complete image from a N900 (personalized) installation? What software would I have to use on my N900 and/or PC? So I mean backing up/restoring the complete rootfs/eMMc (microSD would be easy since one can physically remove it and connect it to a PC).

The only thing I found so far is this: http://www.ipmart-forum.it/showthrea...store-completo. However, my Italian isn't that great.

Thanks in advance.

Yea.
You'll have to backup your MyDocs drive, but that's easy - just vopy all files to your PC, then copy em back later.

Awesome, exactly what I need. Guess I didn't look well enough. Nice one creating that! Thanks a lot! :)

Paypalling you if it turns out to do the job. Gonna test a bit since I have to update to 1.3 anyway.

Going to hand in my N900 for 3.5mm jackplug repair in a month or so, so I was kind of reluctant to spend hours and hours updating to 1.3 and reinstalling/reconfigurating stuff, knowing I would have to do it again after.
