first you need to dual boot, what you have installed is just installation within windows and it is slower compared to dual boot.

follow this and you should be having a dual boot windows and linux.. enjoi...

also now you can use usb to create bootable disk, if you do not want to burn cd and your pc supports boot from boot disk.

bro its wise to have win as the primary and ubuntu as the secondary i have installed win 7 in my lappy and ubuntu inside win 7 as a .exe file using wubi

Thanks for all the help. I guess ill just reinstall it and make it run alongside with windows and not from windows.
