correspondance and Nokia's reply.. (I removed names). March 2010

Dear Nokia Rep,

This letter is written in regards to our phone call Thursday morning March 19 2010.
I was refered to you by Nokia support. The case number is **********
You suggested I write a summary of my request from Nokia.

I currently own 2 Nokia phones. An E72 and a N900. I think both are very good phones.
Unfortunately I misplaced the stylus for the N900 and would like to replace it with an identical one that
fits in the phone. It appears that Nokia is not currently including such stylus in its accesseries products
list and I am unable to find a replacement.

According to page 15 of the Nokia N900 owners manuel it states

"Important: Use only a stylus approved by Nokia for use with this device. Using any other stylus
may invalidate any warranty applying to the device and may damage the touch screen..."

I am very concerned about properly following Nokis's guidelines.
The apps and software I use on my N900 strongly depend on precision
use of the stylus to activate features. Further, because the original stylus
fits nicely in the N900 casing I would prefer the same stylus.

Given that I have spent approximately $900 on Nokia products, I would think it
a very good customer service if Nokia would replace my lost stylus with the same kind.

Sincerely

mscion

Nokia's REPLY

mscion-

Thank you for your email. We will be mailing you a new stylus on Monday.

Have a great day.

Sincerely,
Nokia Rep

Nokia Flagship (USA)

The stylus arrived in a envelope a few days later which made my day! I have heard this Flagship store is now closed...

Failed because the store gave away things instead of selling them.

Failed because Nokia's USA plan was/is utter rubbish. That flagship store in New York was absolutely brilliant, with friendly, helpful staff.

Maybe they could re-open it with some of the $$$ they're saving by firing 3000 staff members.

You have better luck than me In October 2010, my N900 headset literally fell apart into tiny plastic bits while in my ear. Nokia Care told me to mail it to Palco... and I've heard nothing ever since. Follow-ups promise it'll escalate and someone will contact me, but nobody ever does. Thumbs down.

A major flaw with this reasoning is that the reopened flagship store would only sell windows based phones!
