yes. i also tried to disable the ssl-login, but it didn't work either. though i'm not sure what to enter into the encryption-line. if i leave it blank, the client resets it to "opportunistic_encryption" automatically.... (server is set to login.icq.com and port to 5190)

mine is slogin.icq.com

and port is -2147483648 which must be a glitch in the gui it should be 443 iirc

opportunistic_encryption

use client login checked


works

edit: btw i never used that libpurple from few pages back.

Thank you very much for this information!Now it works for me, too! I don't understand this, cause exactly this has been the setup when it stopped working this morning...

Same settings, but port ist 5190.

I have this behaviour from time to time.
Everything is working fine normally.
Some times I can not log in, but a few hours later everything is fine again (of course with no changes at all). Any ideas out there?
