Hi N950 owners,

Since there is no infrastructure yet for the N950 I tried to port libgphoto2 and gphoto2 to Harmattan. I managed to compile libgphoto2 on my scratchbox by hand after installing some additional dev packages from a Debian stable repository. I could also build binary packages from libgphoto2 debian source packages.

Later I realized, that there are also binary packages available in the Debian repository for arm and at least in the scratchbox (amr environemnt) I could install them.

Never the less, I didn't manage to install libgphoto2/gphoto2 on the n950 without "apt" to complain about a dozen missing packages like UDEV and other system stuff which would have pulled from the Debian overlay.
I feel somewhat uncomfortable installing all these packages from a not-harmattan-repository

Could anyone point me in right direction how to build binary packages that finally work on the N950 and not only in my scratchbox pulling in dozen dependencies from a Debian repository?

I am confused.

Besides, there is a RPM package for libgphoto2 available for Meego 1.2

I am totally confused

Thanks and kind regards,
Bjoern
