While looking for N900, I've stumbled upon the listing which admits having lots of N9s in unopened boxes. I thought some people on this forum might be interested. I have no affiliation with the seller. I accept no responsibility.

Hi. I was just kidding. Had found it odd that there were lots of boxes of unused N9's for sale. Wish the same could be said for the N950. Wonder how many were actually made and what happened to them - besides those that were "loaned" to developers.

Lease times may have ended in companies, and companies often have unused spares in stock. They are cheap to buy at that point.

Seller not very helpful when I asked how are you supposed to enter pw+ from given unlock code upon N9, when we all know that you can't input "w" upon N9 dialler. Claims that devices are SIM locked to O2 and still sealed in their boxes!

If the devices are O2 stock, of course they can be simlocked and unopened: Nokia has provided the devices pre-locked to operator.
(how else would you manage it...? )
