Are you absolutely confident, that only fcam-drivers may be the culprit of the failure to boot, since there are plenty of reports of kernel corruption for different reasons?

Did you flash just the kernel that fits your taste of maemo, like default maemo kernel or kernel-power or kernel-cssu? You could find the modules directory for the kernel with

ls -al  /lib/modules/current

Yes, I did flash only kernel. Previously I had only standard kernel.
