I was using Symbian UIQ phones for past 5 years and now I have decided that it is time to move on (well it was not me, it was my fourth Sony Ericsson G700 which had decided not to work anymore), so I bought Nokia N9. The thing is that I am very disappointed with this phone - Meego is nowhere near to user friendliness of Symbian UIQ 3 - everything is three steps farther.
Although the hardware, construction and desing of N9 are just amazing, but that's just a litte satisfaction.
My main problem is this - there is no good web browser for N9. I am used to Opera Mini 4 (java version) and I thought that Opera Mobile 12 in N9 will be at least the same quality, but it is not - it's absolutely terrible. Opera in N9 has bad zooming (I am not a fan of pinch to zoom) and text alignment, also it is slow, lagging and the keyboard is just a cherry on top. Firefox and native browser are even worse.
So I am asking - is there a way to install java MIDP apps on Nokia N9 (especially the Opera Mini) or does exist some modified version of Opera Mobile for Nokia N9? Thanks for answers!
