I live in Canada and occasionally drive down to the States. The data roaming charge is killing with N900 and I’d like an option to cut my cell phone bill. I’ve searched; T-Mobile pre-paid SIM seems quite good on voice calling, no words on data though, need your advise
3G is the best, but I can live with 2.5G too. Thanks a lot!

There is some discussion over at http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=37887, but I suspect it is more trouble than it is worth for you (I'm on the prepaid T-Mobile, and I still haven't tried it out yet...).

Maybe you could look at an AT&T prepaid SIM instead. I have no experience with those, however.
