hiya ive used a few headphones and can recomend the following pairs for your n900

sony mdrxb20 -- 9mm drivers but great bass response adds depth to the music these dont kill the treble they just add warmth and depth tp your music not bad coming in at around 19.99-24.99 , also feature silicone ear buds in 3 sizes , nice flat cable with 1.2m lenght

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDRXB20...3684204&sr=1-1

sony mdr ex300 -- 13.5mm drivers cost a bit more then the above headphones coming in at around 29.99--39.99 but come with a case and cable comes in two parts , good quality headphones at the top of the budget price range

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDR-EX3...3684488&sr=1-1

sennhesier cx300/cx500 -- nice headphones but fakes are rife so buy froma reputable seller and not ebay as there are 100s of fakes on ebay so just avoid it for these. again 9mm drivers very light with a nice cable , sennheiser produce great headphones and are very simmilar to the sonys , bass is warm and not tinny and the trebles dont screech well worth checking out but avoid them from ebay etc usaully cost about 20-30 for the cx300s and more for the cx500s

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-C...3684642&sr=1-1

on the following links there are many user reviews worth reading about each headphone

there are other alternatives but i use my phone as my mp3 player and have hammered the above headphones for ages and they have lasted and sounded good all the time whatever music thrown at them and in my eyes for mbile use and price range are the best avalible :-)

hope someone finds this usefull :-)

have a great weekend

I find my Koss PortaPro's quite nice. Very comfy and great sound quality. They cost 25€ here in Finland, so not that expensive either. dunno why they are soe overpriced on the Koss site though.

Personally I own about 3 paris of cx500, best iv'e ever owned in that price range.
They come with a little amazing kit :
- Case
- Detachable Clipper to clip to your shirt
- Replacement buds
- Slick volume controller on the cord which is not much thicker then the cord itself.
- If my cat ate my cord, i'd buy a new one. (True Story)

BTW, I don't work for senheiser!!!!!!

Been using a pair of Sony Ericsson headphones that I liberated from one of my nephews when they had the w580i, plugged via the Nokia N95 remote cable. Looks a bit cheapskate but far better than the stock N900 pair.

Hoping to invest in a pair of Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205 Bluetooth very soon.

I own AKG k450 - they are awsome after the 1,5 moths warm-up - basses are tight, mids are clear and highs are very pronounced. Yet before warmup those hadphones sound very bassy - they are OK.

Im using Senns Px200 II with inline Volume control...really great as the volume control is irrespective of the device volume :]

The volume may be a bit less on these..but FLAC sounds so warm and deep..and when i use alsamixer to increase the 88 value to 100,,volume is fine then.

Anyone here would recommend some headphones with mic that can replace the stock N900 ones? Kinda want to have great sound AND be able to answer calls without having to take the phone out of my pocket.
