Hello,

I messed up my N810 (WiMAX) after installing the tools for viewing documents in portrait mode. I would like to re-flash it to Diablo. However, I can't get the required firmware image from http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N810wimax.php because it says my Product ID is not valid. I made sure to enter the WLAN ID, and not the BT ID or any other ID.

I realize this is an old tablet, and it is no longer supported, but I would really like to get to use it again.

I have searched for OS alternatives but Ubuntu Mobile is defunct and Meego does not support the N810.

Any chance somebody could direct me to other resources that could help me either get the firmware image or some other options?

Thanks,
-opc

I only have the images for the n810 and n800, sorry. Maybe someone with the wi-max tablet will send you their ID so you can download it.
Just a thought: did you try swapping the zero's in the ID for "o"'s ?? IIRC, they are difficult to determine which is which.

Maybe you have to enter the WiMAX MAC address instead of the WLAN one?

Well, there's a "Thanks!" button under the post for that.
Not that I really care, but....

Wow, I didn't realise that deep links to the downloads would work! Rather makes the system they put in place to ask for the ID rather pointless.

The key is knowing the exact name of the file. But you can easily know it by looking at the MD5SUMS file.
