Hi everyone,

I will have a presentation about Maemo and MeeGo Security in a couple of weeks. There are might some questions because I heard that the security concepts of MeeGo changed in compare to Maemo. I know that Maemo 6 has the concept of open and closed mode with the ARM TrustZone security extension.

So, in open mode, the user cannot run DRM-protected software purchased from the Ovi Store or play music bought from the Nokia Comes With Music store. It is only if the software verifies as that shipped by Nokia that the boot loader starts the Nokia signed software image (including the kernel root file system and important system components like drivers and Application Manager), which has the DRM keys enabled and thus can decrypt DRM-protected content.

How does it look like on MeeGo Devices. Can anyone tell me about the future security issues on MeeGo Devices. I know that MeeGo v1.0 has no security stuff like that but Im very interest about the concepts of MeeGo v.1.1
