Objective:
have the phone to stop vibrating / ringing when someone picks it up
Hypothesis:
- the phone is still on a desk and it starts ringing:
the phone could log the accelerator status and detect the difference between standing still and being picked up.
- the phone is in your pocket, you're moving and it starts ringing:
the phone could log the proximity sensor and detect the difference between being in the pocket and being picked up.
- the phone is in your car and it starts ringing:
nothing. the phone cannot detect a difference in accelerator or proximity, so it cannot detect that you're paying attention to it, so it keeps ringing.
The phone could restart vibrating/ringing with same rules, after a delay, if you stop paying attention to it without interacting (tilting upside-down, closing up the call, hitting the silence button, answering, etc)
Just my 2 cents.
thank you,
G.
