Kinda useless unless you actually hold your N900 as a camera while texting, but that just might be me.

Useless or not u can see the sidewalk while texting and not stepping in something nasty or fall into a hole )

*very* hard to read your own text...if it was there for the N900 I wouldn't use it...I kinda like my text input fields to have a solid, one-colour background...

How about just standing still or sitting down while texting?
I never got that, texting and walking at the same time...
