This is (I think) a font / scrollbar issue in hildon and not an application issue.

Using Qalculate (and sometimes gFTP as well) the popup menus/ dialogs look crammed and some fields can barely be seen, like the 'Expression' field in the upper window.
What strikes me is that there are no scrollbars in these menus and the fonts are rather large. When the fonts are smaller and there are scrollbars, these menus can be shown fully. Sometimes the close buttons are over menu fields and when one clicks on the close button the menu does not close but rather the underlying checkbox / radio button changes. For example, the second screenshot shows a menu with a 'Close' and when you click the close button it does not close but toggles the check state 'Use lower case "e"'.

Is there a way to change this ?

It is a not enough screen estate issue

You can reorganize the dialogs before building or put them in a scrollable area.
