My 2 years old N800 recently shows the following problem:

After the screens wakes up from screen saver/sleep mode, it will jitter vertically and very slightly (about 1 mm only) for about 1-3 minutes. After that, the screen is stable again for the rest of the surfing session.

Has anyone encountered this? My warranty is over now and I wonder if this is a sign of an early death?

It may be a sign that the screen is about to fail. Do a search on screens that rolls vertically.

Early death? Many n800's screens fail after one year, so consider yourself lucky if it lasted two.
